Campeonato de Portugal
In 1921, the Campeonato de Portugal (english: Championship of Portugal) was created, the first major national competition in Portugal. The winners of this competition were the champions of Portugal. To see the current competition that determines the champion of Portugal, see Primeira Liga. However, this tournament is the predecessor of the Taça de Portugal, and not the Primeira Liga.
